Sarkanda Reed for float making. Available in 2-3mm (sold out),3-4mm , 4-5mm, 5-6mm AND hard to find 6-7mm and 7-8mm.  This has been imported from India (freshly harvested in the 2020 growing season). It is ideal for making various fishing floats - straight wagglers, insert wagglers, loaded wagglers and various bodied waggler style floats (see pictures).  Incredibly versatile, this is an amazing material to make your own fishing floats from - strong, durable, easily workes and very streight (compared to some norfold reed).  Unbeatable price - if you see it cheaper anywhere let me know and I will price match. The centre of the stems is esily bored out using an handheld drill bit to allow can inserts for the tips/bases to be glued in with normal pva wood glue.  Each stem is 12 inches (30cm) long so it is easily possible to make 20 - 40 floats from each pack! (based on a pack size of 21 stems)  One of the problems faced by float makers using Sarkanda is the waxy outer coating that naturaly occurs on the plant.  This means every stem has to be individually sanded to remove this and key the surface so paint / varnish / lacquer does not peel off.  I can do this for you in advance in my custom built drum sander which uses fine grade volcanic pumice powder to gently remove this coat entirely allowing you to get busy and creative.  Please select the pre sanded option if you want this doing - it really does save a lot of boring work! These stems will just need wiping down with a clean damp cloth to remove any dust/powder residue before using.
